PIAZZA LEGAL attends Monaco Yacht Show 2026
Dr. Stephan Piazza attended the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) 2026, held from 23 to 26 September at Port Hercule, Monaco, joining one of the most important events on the international superyacht calendar.
This edition of the MYS brought together yacht owners, prospective buyers, charter clients and leading professionals from across the superyacht industry. The 2025 edition attracted almost 30,000 visitors, including private clients and industry professionals, while more than 560 exhibitors are represented at the 2026 show.
This year's show features a fleet of approximately 120 superyachts, including 43 yachts delivered in 2026, alongside world premieres and some of the industry's most significant new vessels.
During his visit, Dr. Piazza met with existing clients, strengthened professional relationships and established new connections with key figures across the yachting sector. He also had the opportunity to visit and view several yachts with which he has been involved over the past year, providing a valuable opportunity to see recent projects in person and exchange insights with owners and industry partners.
MYS remains an important meeting point for the superyacht community, combining business, innovation and networking while showcasing the latest developments in yacht design, technology and construction.

Sailing Towards a Digital Ship Register 24 March 2026
Dr. Stephan Piazza will moderate a panel discussion during the seminar “Sailing Towards a Digital Ship Register,” organised by the Malta Maritime Law Association. The panel will bring together representatives from Transport Malta, the Malta Business Registry, the Sanctions Monitoring Board and the Malta Maritime Law Association to discuss ongoing initiatives undertaken by both registries to enhance the performance and efficiency of maritime practitioners through the use of digital tools. The discussion will also explore the evolving role of Resident Agents as key gatekeeper within an increasingly robust sanctions framework. ⚓📊

Finance, Insurance & Legal Industry for SPACE Conference
Dr. Stephan Piazza will moderate the panel "Malta's Legal Framework for the New Space Economy" during the Finance, Insurance & Legal Industry for Space Conference co-organised by Xjenza Malta & Finance Malta on 17th February, 2026 at the Esplora Planetarium Hall, Villa Bighi, Kalkara.
The conference will bring together stakeholders from the finance, insurance, legal space to explore how space technologies and data applications are enabling new opportunities in financial services, risk management.
The programme will open with remarks by Hon. Keith Azzopardi Tanti and Finance Malta Chairman George Vella. This will be followed by sessions exploring Malta’s strategic role in space-enabled banking, the transition from the National Space Strategy to the National Space Activities Act, and funding opportunities from the European Space Agency for the fintech, insurance, and legal sectors.
