MALTA'S JUDICIAL SYSTEM
Malta’s judicial system, although based on Continental European Civil Law system, over the years, has been influenced also by Anglo-Saxon model. Once becoming a member of the European Union in 2004, Malta adopted and implemented EUs Regulations and Directives. This was purposely done to provide legal certainty and be able to attract foreign direct investment into our country.
The Maltese judicial system is based on a mix of courts, tribunals and specialised boards, arbitration and mediation centres meant to streamline the justice system.
The team has assisted clients at the Maltese Superior Courts, specialised tribunals and the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.

The Litigation Desk has over 20 years experience in Constitutional Law, Public and Administrative Law, Civil Law including Contract Law, Family Law, Property Law, Commercial and Corporate Law, Consumer Law and Marine Litigation assisting Maltese and foreign clients in their lawsuits before Maltese Courts, Specialised Courts and Tribunals and the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.
The Litigation Desk is supported by a Legal Procurator present daily at the Courts of Malta and external technical experts in various scientific fields.
